HOW MANY HOURS DO PROS TRAIN

The training time for tennis pros varies depending on the calendar.
A player and his/her coach have an annual and monthly plan.
There are tournaments and training time.

Tennis tournaments dictate the training schedule  but a coach will decide on what to focus
before the tournament and how much to train.
Usually, training goes two hours twice per day plus fitness training. Plus a training match(es).

The calculation says that  a player should train between 4 and 6 hours per day.
One day should be off.

Often, there is mental training with a lot of talks. This part of training is very important
as everything else and can be done with your tennis coach or with a trained psychologist.

There is another part of tennis training (of course, not only tennis), and it
is the recovery with the stretching.

This should be done with a fitness coach after the training. This part of the training
is actually happening after the training when a physio helps that a player recovers
after a hard workout with stretching and icing.

Keep in mind that “longer” training doesn’t mean good or better training!

This brings us to the old saying: it is not how much and long you train but how
well and smart you do it!
